Adversarial probes that actively exercise your controls and prove they work - not just that the policy describing them exists. Failed probes become findings; passed probes become tamper-evident evidence.
Auto-evidence collectors take a snapshot of current state ("MFA is on for these users today"). That is necessary but not sufficient. CCV goes further: it tries to break the control and records whether the expected response happened. The result is cryptographic proof that the control works, not just paperwork describing it - the layer most GRC tools do not have.
