What this solves

Lynx Compliance - Datadog Connector

Compliance evidence pulled from Datadog. Datadog covers two distinct audit surfaces with one connector:

  • Continuous monitoring (CSF DE.CM-01, ISO A.8.16): the inventory of monitors, dashboards, and synthetic tests is the auditor's answer to "show me you watch your production systems".

  • Availability commitments (SOC 2 A1.1 / A1.2): SLOs declare the customer-promised uptime; synthetic tests verify the measurement; incidents capture breaches.

Authentication is the standard Datadog dual-key pattern: an API key authenticates to the tenant, an Application key authenticates to a specific user with their RBAC scope. Both are stored as JSON in credential_secret.

Key Features

  • Datadog connector type - configure with API key + application key as JSON in credential_secret + Datadog site in config_json.site (datadoghq.com / datadoghq.eu / us3.datadoghq.com / us5.datadoghq.com / ap1.datadoghq.com / ddog-gov.com).

  • Eight resource pulls - monitors, dashboards, SLOs, synthetic tests, incidents, users, roles, audit log (90d).

  • Pre-seeded collectors - five collectors covering DE.CM-01 (monitor inventory + audit log), SOC 2 A1.1 (synthetic tests), A1.2 (SLO targets), RS.MA-01 (incident declarations).

  • Datadog site-aware - the default base URL is the US1 site; EU / US3 / US5 / AP1 / GovCloud customers point config_json.site at their region.

Integrates With

  • lynx_compliance_connectors - registers under the connector framework.

  • lynx_compliance_evidence_collectors - shipped collectors use the standard schedule.

  • Datadog via the requests HTTP client.
